How do subscriptions work?

We offer several different book subscriptions: fiction, non-fiction, poetry, fresh releases (hardcover), and all-Canadian. Currently we are offering three month subscriptions. Three months = three books. Because of Canada’s high shipping costs, your books will be sent out in one package. Each book will be individually wrapped with a hand-written note on the outside to help you choose which book to read each month!

When will my books be sent?

Your subscription will be sent out approximately two weeks after your order is placed (unless you have a special request for a different timeline). This will allow me enough time to curate the choices and order anything special into the shop before sending it to you.

How do I choose my book?

You don’t have to! If there is a specific title you’d like included, you are welcome to send me an email, but this is a curated service. You tell me about yourself on the form that pops up when you add a subscription to your cart, and I select books for you based on what you have shared.

How do I know what books you will send?

It’s a surprise! That said, if you would like to know ahead of time, you can send me an email at bookslittlewren@gmail.com so that you get spoiler alerts! If you are a very heavy reader, it might be worth signing up so that I don’t send you anything you have already read.

What if I get a book that I’ve already read?

I will be doing my best to ensure this doesn’t happen. My goal is to introduce you to new books and authors you may not have heard of or tried reading before. However, if it does happen, we can fix it for you. If you're local, you can simply come in and swap it for another one! If you’re not local, you can send me an email at bookslittlewren@gmail.com. I’ll send you a new one free of charge, and you can hold onto the original book. As mentioned above, if you are a very heavy reader, it might be worth signing up for a “spoiler alert” so that I don’t send you anything you have already read.
